Students seeking financial aid for their online Bethel education should take note of the following:
FAFSA
Bethel accepts the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be eligible, students:
- Must be admitted to Bethel University and enrolled in a qualifying degree-granting program
- Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, as determined by FAFSA
- Must complete entrance counseling and sign a promissory note (MPN)
- Must be enrolled in at least half-time studies each semester (six credits per semester for undergraduate students, five credits per semester for graduate students) to receive student loans
- Must be in good standing with all prior federal student aid.
Students must complete FAFSA once per academic year.
Military Benefits
To be certified for VA payments, please complete the following:
Application and Certificate of Eligibility
- Complete the application on the VA website.
- Print two copies of your application (It is very important to print two copies of your
application before submission). - Then, submit your application to the VA.
- The VA will send a “Certificate of Eligibility” to you. This form tells chapter and months
available to be certified.

Students who have had benefits at another college:
- Must complete the 22-1995 form on VA website (Change of Place or Program). Print two copies.
