This program is designed to train graduates to meet the cybersecurity needs of organizations in financial, educational, corporate and government settings. With a rigorous curriculum that provides a deep understanding of key topics in computer systems, cyberlaw, policy creation and compliance, it combines industry best practices with real-world application. Upon graduation, several of our courses will prepare you to sit for the following certification tests: CompTIA Network+ (CSC 230), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) (CSC 255), ISC2 CISSP (CSC 265), CompTIA Security+ (CSC 315 and 245), CompTIA Linux+ (CSC 355), CompTIA Penetration+ (CSC 415) and Ethical Hacker EC-Council (CSC 345, 415 and 445).

Our online cybersecurity degree is taught by expert instructors with years of relevant experience. Because the program is delivered fully online, it provides you with a convenient learning format that allows you to study on your schedule and balance work and academic commitments. As an accelerated course of study, this program can be completed in two years.

Course Requirements

All of Bethel's degrees are a balance of a liberal arts foundation with the expertise of a specific field of study, all of which point to a well-rounded graduate upon completion. This space is aimed to help provide an overview of the expected courses for this degree.

  • General Education (36 Credits)

    General education courses offer an introduction to the arts and sciences within a college setting. Through this comprehensive course of study, students will gain appreciation for a broad range of subjects and build the skills necessary to succeed in higher education. Thirty-six credit hours are required of general education courses.

  • Electives (36 Credits)

    Electives allow students to dive deeper into a wide range of subjects and provide the opportunity to tailor a course of study based on interests and academic goals. Students are required to earn 36 credit hours of electives.

    • Students may transfer credit from other accredited institutions, provided the courses are equivalent to required Bethel courses and the student earned a grade of C or better.
    • CLEP testing is available for select courses.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate programs require:
  • Submit your official transcripts (directly from the institution to Bethel) from all undergraduate work. If you have completed less than 30 credit hours, also submit your official high school or GED transcript
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Show proficiency by either submitting your official SAT or ACT scores, completing a college-level English or math course or taking Bethel’s placement tests
